Good morning everyone!
One of the best things about joining Weight Watchers is their social media app – ‘Connect’. The people who use ‘Connect’ are so supportive, offer great advice and are always there if someone is having a rough time. Without it, I wouldn’t be where I am today and I wouldn’t have got to know some of the most amazing people!
While reading through the posts on Connect at the beginning of the year, one particular comment got me thinking: “You are the best friends I’ve never met!”
It was so true – we had all become great friends, we’d been there for each other through our highs and lows, but we’d never actually met. So, I decided to organise an event where we could all finally meet up and give a great big hug to the people who’d been there for us on our weight-loss journeys.
And today’s the day! Our very first ‘Meet and Eat’ in Birmingham. I’m just about to set off down the M6 to meet some of the wonderful people on Connect, and to say I am excited is an understatement!
Good luck to everyone travelling there today (let’s hope there are no delays on the public transport systems and all cars run smoothly) especially for those of you travelling from as far afield as Devon and the SE of England, those of you travelling down from Lancashire and those catching trains from London. I am really looking forward to meeting you all at our WW-friendly luncheon. #meetandeatjuly2017
Today is tinged with sadness though as I know many of you would like to have joined us but cannot. Watch this space for details of #meetandeatnovember2017
Next week’s new recipes will include:
- No Count Eton Mess
- No Count Summer Salmon
Good luck if you’re trying No Count for the first time this week and good luck with weigh-ins everyone!
Finally, I’d like to say a massive thank you for all your very kind words and comments this week. It is a real pleasure to share my No Count knowledge and recipes with you, and I hope you all have a fantastic week ahead.
