I still do a weekly menu plan each week and have done for the last two years.
I find it really helps me to stay on track - especially if I have an extra busy week coming up. I'll then plan to cook enough for two nights or I'll do a slow cooker meal so that it's ready when I arrive home.
If I'm working, I'll prepare breakfast and lunch the night before and prep any veg for the evening meal.
I try to have an alternative in the freezer too for those days when you just don't feel like cooking.
