These ingredients are used in some of my recipes, and I’m often asked where to buy them so I’ve decided to include this page in the website.  Please let me know if you’d like anything else adding to the page – and please let me know if you’ve found the products anywhere else.  Thank you!

MyProtein Sugar-free Syrup (lots of flavours but I tend to use Butterscotch and Maple)

This is available online only – at MyProtein.com, Amazon and Ebay.

Free on No Count in the quantities I have used in the recipes.

Protein Cheese

Available at: Tesco, Morrisons, Booths, Waitrose or you can Google to find online sellers.

26g is 0 points, from 27g to 79g is 1 point and from 80g to 132g is 2 points.  It does taste better when it is grated and used as part of a recipe.

PB2  (a powdered peanut butter substitute)

Available at various online stockists including Amazon and Ebay (Google for cheapest prices).  It can also be bought at Holland and Barrett and I THINK I’ve seen it in Asda and Sainsbury’s.

Up to 5g is free and you can have 17g for 1 point.

The powder is mixed with water to create ‘peanut butter’.  It can be used as a spread on crumpets, toast etc… and is also used as a baking ingredient (as in the peanut butter cookies).

Sweet Freedom Choc Shot

Available at: Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Waitrose, Asda, Ocado and Holland and Barrett – it can be found near the drinking chocolate.

Two teaspoons are 1 point and soooo worth it!

Butterbuds (a powdered butter substitute)

Available online only at Amazon, Lakeland and Ebay.

A sachet is free on No Count.  It can be sprinkled into mashed potato or used when baking.

Bird’s Instant Custard

Available at all major supermarkets.

Make up a sachet of custard powder with a pint of skimmed milk (return to the pan to thicken it up) and you can have 60g for 1 point.

    1. Is the protein syrup runny, or syrupy? I have the skinny syrups from TK max so just wondering if similar. Loving your r3cipes!

      1. Hi and thank you! I’d say the Myprotein syrups are more syrupy than runny. I haven’t tried the TK Max ones or I’d be able to let you know how they compare. Hope you’re having a good weekend, Helen xxxxx

  1. Hi Helen , where do you get your unsweetened puffed wheat? I have tried all the local supermarkets to no avail….

    1. Hi Shona, I get mine from Sainsbury’s – – it’s Sainsbury’s own brand puffed wheat (it is unsweetened). ‘Quaker’ do a puffed wheat that is sugar-free too which I would expect most supermarkets to stock. Hope that helps, Helen xxx

      1. Ah , thanks Helen… It’s a bit further away but I will have to go there soon…I need an occasional different option for breakfast!

        1. Hi Shona, sorry to hear it’s a longer journey there for you. I know what you mean about needing different options – a change is good. Hope you’re having a good day! Helen xxx

    1. Awwww thank you Julie, that’s so kind of you to say. Really pleased to hear you’re enjoying the site. Helen xxx

  2. THANKYOU so much for all the work you are putting into this! I recently changed to no count and your recipe ideas inspire me to be more creative in my cooking.

    1. Thank you for your lovely comment Shona. I’m really enjoying sharing the recipes and it helps me to be more creative in the kitchen as well. I really hope No Count works for you! Hope you have a lovely long weekend. Helen xxx

  3. Hi Helen, I just joined WW on Monday and as yet haven’t tried the no count way. Do you think it’s preferable to counting points? Also does the weight come off the same? Thanks June

    1. Hi June, welcome to WW! Some people find they lose more weight when tracking and others find no count works better for them. It’s a case of trying both and seeing what works for you. No count has definitely worked better for me, I find that I feel fuller for longer after meals and I’m eating far fewer processed foods too. I’ve also lost weight far easier with no count and found a way of eating that I can live with in the long term, so that I can maintain my weight. You can read my story if you go to: Why No Count? You could always continue with tracking first and then try No Count if your weight loss slows or stops. I hope that helps. Helen xxx

  5. Hi Helen! I am using lots of your recipes, thanks so much! The MyProtein syrup– looks intriguing. Please can you tell me 1) what sweetener it contains, 2) how much for 0sp? A teaspoon, tbsp, negligible amounts etc? Thank you!

    1. Hi! I’m glad you’re finding the recipes useful. The MyProtein sugar-free syrups use Sucralose as a sweetener. I still haven’t found the maximum amount of sugar-free syrup you’re allowed for 0 points. The WW app says 8 portions of Starbucks sugar-free syrup are 0sp but doesn’t say how much a portion is. I use a squirt in overnight oats and porridge – just make sure that you don’t overuse it. Sorry I can’t be more help with this at the moment. Helen xxx

  6. The list is sooooo of helpful & when I get to goal I have you to thank. I have looked in my local shop for most of these items but haven’t found any, thanks to you I will be buying most of them tomorrow. Plus if it wasn’t for your website of fantastic meals/ puddings/new ideas I would be going up on the scales instead of down. I can’t thank you enough. Xx

    1. That is so kind of you to say Joanne but you’ve done all the hard work, making your meals each day and having the willpower to resist temptation when needed. I’m really glad you’ve found this page useful and hope you have a fab week ahead. Wishing you the best of luck on your WW journey, do keep in touch and let me know how you’re getting on. Helen xxx
