Hi everyone,

When I joined Weight Watchers, I was expecting to hopefully lose some weight but I wasn’t expecting it to change my life and inspire me to do things completely out of my comfort zone.

Connect (part of the WW app) had a lot to do with it.  I remember scrolling through everyone’s posts and seeing pictures of C25K achievements, and wondering if I could do that.  I know I’ve mentioned this before but the thought of being able to run for even 8 minutes was unbelievable.  Now, I run for 25 minutes at least twice a week and it doesn’t half make you feel great!

It was also on Connect that I loved seeing everyone’s food posts and they inspired me to start becoming a bit more creative in the kitchen.  It was when I switched to No Count that I started to enjoy creating recipes from a more limited food list, and I was determined to make some desserts from those limited ingredients.  Gone is the person who disliked any time spent in the kitchen, now I really enjoy it!

At the beginning of the year, I started to think about ways in which I could have all my recipes in one place and make them very easy for people to find, and that’s how I came up with the idea of a website.  Building a website took me completely out of my comfort zone but, looking back, I am so glad that I decided to go ahead and do it.  I get so much pleasure from sharing the recipes and seeing people enjoying them: and at the same time, it’s giving me a purpose for creating new recipes and really embracing the No Count lifestyle.

When I joined Weight Watchers, I would never have dreamed that just over a year later, I’d be organising an event for members of Connect to meet up for the first time.  The July Connect ‘Meet and Eat’ was an amazing experience, and one that definitely has to be repeated!  (Keep late February/ early March 2018 free in your diaries if you can.)

I’m absolutely loving this new-found interest in food, cooking, being part of a supportive weight loss community and making new friends.  Joining Weight Watchers has definitely given me a new purpose and has made life so much happier than it used to be.

New recipes for next week will include:

  • No Count Rice Pudding
  • No Count Beef Stroganoff

I definitely wouldn’t be where I am now without everyone who has subscribed to my website and supported me in promoting No Count. Thank you so much – you have helped more than you know.
